The Health Products and Technologies Unit (HPTU) serves as the central coordinating body dedicated to ensuring that all citizens have consistent access to safe, effective, and quality essential medicines and health technologies.
Established within the health sector, the HPTU's primary focus is to address challenges within the health supply chain, which traditionally include fragmentation, inadequate inventory controls, and stock losses due to pilferage or expiry.
IORPMS training meeting
This was a training on local county-led customizable dispensing software for methadone for use in Miritini, Shimo La Tewa and other arts of the country. This software integrated opioid replacement patient management system (IORPMS) has been in use in Lamu, Shimo La Tewa MAT clinics and is also in use for dispensing of Buprenorphine in Kisauni MAT clinic.
